Application
Rebuilding Together Worcester is a non-profit organization supported entirely by contributions of time, labor, material and money. We are dedicated to repairing homes of Worcester residents who, due to financial hardship, age, and/or disability, cannot do the work themselves. Skilled and unskilled volunteers along with able-bodied members of the recipient's family and friends complete the repairs at no cost to the homeowner.
To be eligible for consideration in the program, you must:
- Reside within the city limits of Worcester
- Own and live in your home
- Have your home insured under a homeowner's policy
- Be low income per the federal guidelines
or
- Be a non-profit organization that services low-income clients through an emergency shelter, transitional housing program or community center with property insurance
Home safety is the first priority of Rebuilding Together Worcester. Volunteers provide improvements that enhance the safety and comfort of your home. Because it is primarily a one-day project, major structural repairs are not possible. Also, we need you to understand that time may prevent the volunteers from accomplishing everything that you would like to have done in your home.
The Rebuilding Together project will be held on April 18-20, 2008, the third weekend in April. To be considered for the program, please complete the enclosed application and return it to Rebuilding Together Worcester as soon as possible. Please include a verification of income with your application.
If you have any questions about the application or program call Martha Gach 508.842.8833. All qualifying homeowners who apply will be contacted for a visit by a team of Rebuilding Together Worcester volunteers. The information they gather will be used in determining sites to be repaired. All applicants will be notified as to whether their home has been selected for our program.
