Our Mission

Rebuilding Together Worcester is a volunteer organization that forms partnerships with corporations, individuals and other organizations committed to improving our community by rehabilitating the houses of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly, disabled and families with children, so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and independence. In addition, Rebuilding Together rehabilitates non-profit facilities such as community centers and shelters.

How We Make It Happen

Volunteers come together for one weekend in Spring (usually in April) to rehabilitate the homes of needy homeowners and non-profit community centers or shelters. Volunteers from all walks of life are comprised of executives, mill workers, politicians, truck drivers, and neighbors working side by side with skilled tradesmen like carpenters, plumbers, electricians, roofers, and others who donate their time and talents. Corporations, local businesses and organizations sponsor projects through financial contributions and in-kind donations of materials. By combining our talents and resources we are truly Rebuilding Together to make a lasting impact in our community and neighbors in need.

Sponsors and Volunteers...

Make A Difference - Repair the homes of low-income elderly or disabled Worcester homeowners so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and independence. Renovate the environment and improve the effectiveness of a nonprofit organization serving children, seniors, homeless & others.

Join Business & Labor in Partnership with the Community - Companies, community service organizations, congregations, unions, rank and file tradesmen and women, and individuals from the Worcester area working together to make a difference - it's truly neighbor helping neighbor.

Give One Weekend, Make a Lifetime of Difference - Most volunteers are asked to commit a day or weekend of their time, but their work improves the lives of low-income, elderly and disabled beneficiaries and nonprofit agencies far into the future.

Work Hands-On - Volunteers work along skilled and non-skilled laborers as well as the beneficiaries and neighbors to make a visible impact.
